4 reasons to call an auto locksmith

1. You’ve locked the keys inside – in most cases, it’s the boot after transferring the shopping from your trolley, or packing the car ready for a camping trip or sports tournament. But maybe your keys are on the backseat or the passenger seat after getting the kids out of the car?

2. You’ve lost your keys – is there anything worse than walking up and down the rows in the car park, trying to remember where you parked? But what if you eventually find it, only to discover the keys aren’t where you thought they were? Nightmare. There’s a good chance you’ve misplaced them, so it’s worth tracing your steps to see if you can find them. No luck? Maybe someone has stolen them from your bag, coat pocket or locker.

3. Your key is broken or damaged – let’s face it, a broken key is no use to anyone. Depending on your vehicle and the type of key it uses, the transponder chip may be damaged and, therefore, need replacing and reprogramming. Or you might need a new key blade or remote.

4. Your car door lock won’t open – Great – how are you meant to get into your car now? Of course, if you’ve got a spare key handy, that’s always worth a try but, if not, it’s likely you’ll need to call for an auto locksmith.
